Donald Lee Underwood

Donald Underwood, 77, of Danville, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019 at his home. He was born on February 14, 1942 in Boyle County to the late Clay and Vina Canada Underwood. Donald was preceded in death by his loving wife, Judy Underwood.

Donald retired from CAP, Christian Appalachian Project after many years and was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing and golfing.

Surviving are four children, Janie Robbins (Johnny) of Danville, Donna Prewitt of Danville, Sonny Underwood (Tracey) of Pennsylvania and Robert Underwood of Warsaw; three brothers, Marcus Underwood of Danville, Ernie Underwood of Burgin, and Ben Underwood of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Eva Logue (Donald) of Harrodsburg and Judy Reinsmith (Wayne) of Harrodsburg; two grandchildren, Jennifer LeeAnn Woodward (Adam) of Nicholasville and Dathan Nathaniel Prewitt of Danville; and great-grandchildren, Brayden Woodward, Lily Woodward and Aleina Judith Prewitt.

Along with his wife and parents, Donald is preceded in death by two grandchildren, Aleshia Jane Robbins and Michael Lee Robbins.

Funeral services will be 11AM Friday, December 6, 2019 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Junction City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 5-8PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Brian Campbell, Kyle Curtis, Nate Smith, Terry Honaker, Chris Underwood, Jared Reinsmith, Tony Mount, Adam Woodward and Steve Campbell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lawrence Underwood, Doug Underwood, Darrell Underwood, Tony and Dawn Smith, Bo Jo Brown, Mary Eva Underwood, Sheila Cain, Cindy Long, Michelle Gordon, Julie Honaker, Kayla Curtis Mount, Connie Eldridge, Jolean Powell, Bryan Underwood, Clay Long and Amanda Lamb.
