Doris Hyder

Doris Jean Hyder, 86, of Danville, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 at Stanford Care and Rehabilitation. She was born August 16, 1932 in Eugene, Oregon to the late Virgil Emory and Emma Amanda Brock Cox. Doris was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Jean Hyder.

She was a loving, caring, selfless woman that found pleasure in caring for others. She always thought of other people no matter the circumstances, she will be missed greatly!

She is survived by three daughters, Connie Jo Hyder of Anchorage, Alaska, Kelly Rae Brown (Dwayne) of Danville and Kacy Kim Ellis (John) of Ellisburg; a son, Douglas Montgomery Hyder (Ellen) of Anchorage, Alaska; six grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sisters, Rachel Mae Pattison and Lila Grimes.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 10AM-12PM at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. 

Memorial contributions are preferred to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
