Franklin Simpson, 81, of Junction City, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at his home. He was born on May 2, 1936 in Centertown, Kentucky to the late Alexander and Lucy Hamlet Simpson.He is survived by his loving wife, Lou Ellen Sinkhorn Simpson.
Franklin was a proud Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He was an accomplished master Carpenter and Heavy Equipment Operator and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Along with his wife, surviving is a son, Franklin Dewey Simpson (Lori) of Richmond; a daughter, Erin Simpson of Centertown, Kentucky; and a sister, Dora Louise Williams of Centertown, Kentucky.
He is preceded in death by four brothers, John, James, Herbert, and Roger Simpson and four sisters, Rena Daughtery, Mary Johnson, Regina English, and Mildred Ann Cox.
Funeral services 1PM Saturday at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bishop Bradshaw and James Stinnett officiating. Burial in Parksville Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren, step-children, and step great-grandchildren.
