Hazel Shaw

Hazel Shaw, 86, of Danville, formerly of Lancaster, passed away June 3, 2018 at the Charleston Health Care Center.  She was the widow of Earl Shaw. Mrs.Shaw was a member of the Lancaster Presbyterian Church, graduated from Cumberland College, and taught school in Garrard County for over 42 years.  

She is preceded in death by her parents B.H. Holcomb and Sallie Hamm Holcomb and 
preceded in death also by her brothers , George B. Holcomb of Lexington , Ky and Joe C. Holcomb of Boston, Ky

Surviving are nieces, Lisa Marie Holcomb(Bobby Joe), Sallye Holcomb Staley(Jim), and Amy HolcombTracy(John); nephew, Mike Holcomb(Debbie), and many great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday June 11, 2018 officiated by Rev. Michael Denny at Preston-Pruitt-Spurlin Funeral Home in Danville, Kentucky.

Visitation will be from Sunday From 4-6 PM at Preston-Pruitt-Spurlin Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. 

Pallbearers are Dr. William Wesley, DeAngelo Durham, Larry Woods, Paul McPherson, David Abee, Zack Peebles and Bobby Joe Reiter.

Honorary pallbearers are Caywood Metcalf, Larry Williams, Billy Ray, Morgan Bradley, Jim Staley and John Peake.
