James Jordan, 76, of Danville, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Charleston Healthcare. He was born on December 16, 1942 in Dallas, Texas to the late Luther and Bulah Moore Jordan. James was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ada Moore Jordan. He worked in printing for many years, retiring from Ennis Business Forms in Texas. James was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, LaDonna Phillips of Texas; a grandchild, Heather Phillips; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Kolaczkowski of Texas; two stepsons, Rich Cook and Tim Cook (Mary); two step-daughters, Linda Darden (David) and Becky Guerrein (Joe); numerous nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and nephews; many great-great nieces and nephews and his special dog, Operah.
James is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ada; brother, Thomas Jordan and great-nephew, Grant Oakley.
Visitation will be from 1-3PM Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Palmer Cemetery in Palmer, Texas.
