Jewel Antle

Jewel Mercer Antle, 102, of Boyle County, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Charleston Health Care Center in Danville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar. Jewel was born on May 9, 1916 in Lincoln County, KY to the late Frank and Pearl Delk Mercer. 

She was a nursing assistant for over 30 years, she worked for her son as a cook at his store, Antle’s in Junction City, and worked for Rainbow Cleaners in Danville. 

Jewel was a member of Junction City Baptist Church. 

Surviving are three sons; Jackie Antle of Junction City, Robert Antle(Casey) of Florida, and Oscar Antle Jr. of Indiana; a daughter, Sue Denham of Danville; two brothers, Donald Warren of Danville and Harold Mercer of Indiana; two sisters Marcella Frost of Indiana and Joyce; ten grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren.

Jewel was also preceded in death by three sons, Kenneth, Curtis, and Chris Anthony Antle; two sisters, Deloris and Juanita; and three grandchildren, Jason, Billy, and Michael Antle.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, June 15, 2018 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Barry Harmon officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until service time.

Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery. 

Pallbearers are Chris Denham, Timothy Antle, Channing Whitehouse, Chase Whitehouse, Danny Whitehouse and Will Denham.
