Joyce Hamner Mattingly, 84, of Anderson County, passed away Monday July 22, 2019 at her home. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leroy C. Mattingly. Joyce was born on April 12, 1935 in Junction City, KY to the late Ted and Christine Pruitt Hamner.
She loved shopping, elaborate decorating for the holidays, working in her flower bed, collecting dollhouses from the Dollhouse Museum and enjoyed Peddler’s Mall and flea markets.
Surviving is a son, Wayburn "Butch" Mattingly of Gulf Breeze, FL; and a daughter, Teenia Harper(Kenny) of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren: Craig Mattingly (Sherian) and Justin Harper (Brianna); great grandchildren: Garrison, Savannah, Kasen and Ava; Fran Steinberger (Glen) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joyce along with her husband and parents was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Hamner and daughter in law, Brenda Mattingly; in laws, Bobby, Joe, Earl, Walter, Armond, Porter Mattingly, Joyce Durr, Margurette Hyde and Marywood McElfresh.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday July 27, 2019 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Junior Fields officiating.
Visitation will be 5-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery.
