Kevin James Crosby

Kevin James Crosby, 71 of Gainesville, Florida, passed away at home November 16, 2018 after a brief illness. A native of New York, born in Brooklyn, he lived in Florida since the 70's. He was a Commissioner in the Boy Scouts of America, a member of the Knights of Columbus and the local Ham Radio Club. Kevin retired from the Information Technology Department at UF/Shands.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sue Ann Prato Crosby (daughter of George Prato); a son Keith Crosby of Gainesville and a godson William Kaiser of Connecticut. He is also survived by a large family throughout New York, Virginia, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Florida.

A Funeral Mass will be Friday, November 30, 2018 at 12:00 PM at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Alan Carter officiating. Visitation will be Friday, November 30, 2018 from 9AM-11AM at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
