Mae Selby Obituary
Ella Mae Divine Selby, 97, of Versailles, formerly of Danville, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in Versailles, KY. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, William Ray Selby. Mae was born on April 5, 1921 in Mercer County to the late Fred G. and Hallie Grace Norvell Divine.
Mae was a member of Indian Hills Christian Church. Everyone knew her as Granny and she was the ultimate UK wildcat fan.
Surviving is a daughter, Kathy Ruth Duncan (Conley) of Alabama; seven grandchildren, Will Selby, Kathy Renee Henson, Kristin Duncan, Rachel Wheeler, Kinsey Hensley, Christopher Duncan and Selby Duncan and 12 great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband and parents, Mae is preceded in death by a son, William Ray Selby Jr.; a brother, Danny Divine; four sisters, Teo Watts, Aileen Murphy, Ruth Crain and Margaret Shepherd.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Kristin Duncan, Kathy Duncan and Jerry Shepherd officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Hagan Selby, Hunter Selby, Selby Duncan, Onis Wheeler, Austin Templeton and Blake Hensley.
