Manuel Sciberras

It is with great sadness that the family of Manuel “Manny” Sciberras announces his passing in his home on December 31, 2018 at the age of 66. Manny was born on December 1, 1952 in Walled Lake, Michigan. 

He spent many of his years working for GM in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Where he retired and moved to Kentucky. He enjoyed many years by his pool surrounded by family. During those years he touched many lives and was “Papa” to many children. He dedicated his life to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He always went above and beyond to help those he loved and it truly showed in how he lived his life. He is lovingly missed by many including his dog, Peanut. 

Surviving are four brothers; Chuck Sciberras (Carol) of Michigan, John Sciberras (Dale) of Harrodsburg and Frank Sciberras (Michelle) of Michigan, Cass Maczuga (Kelly) of Michigan; and three sisters, Patricia Christie of Danville and Kathy Henderson (Lilbern) of Stanford Karen Clocke (Rob) of Michigan; Ex-wife Connie Sciberras of Stanford; Two children he helped raise, Anita Coats of Michigan, and Michael Coats of Lexington; Seven grandchildren; Brittany Hager (Justin) of Stanford, Brianna Ciolek of Michigan, Bryan Ford of Michigan, Brendan Miller of Michigan, Emma Coats of Lexington, Brooklyn Branham of Michigan, Brayah Miller of Michigan and five great-grandchildren. Manny will forever be remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Manuel Sciberras, mother, Mary Sciberras, and step-mother, Rose Sciberras.

Private services will be held at a later date.
