Naomi “Carol” Parker Devine, 69, of Danville, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019 in Danville. She was born on September 28, 1949 in Boyle County to the late Forrest and Gladys Parker. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Devine.
Carol retired after many years of being an administrative assistant and was volunteering at Ephraim McDowell Hospital. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and especially watching her grandchildren’s activities. Carol loved to eat and stay at Shakertown and loved to travel, especially to the beach. She loved to play Bunco and Nickels with her friends, as well as watching Survivor together. Carol was an avid UK basketball fan.
Surviving is a son, Robbie Tharp (Nicole) of Harrodsburg; a daughter, Amy Gammon (Coby) of Nicholasville; and grandchildren, Jake Gammon, Isabella Gammon, Tyrin Richardson, Lyric Tharp and Ry’Ann Tharp.
Along with her parents and husband, Carol is preceded in death by a brother, Gary Wayne Parker and a sister, Rebecca Parker Settles.
Funeral services will be 2PM Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Cummins officiating. Visitation will be from 12pm-2pm Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Coby Gammon, Jake Gammon, Tyrin Richardson, Eddie Layton, Dan Stoltzfus And Ferrell Bailey.
