Rebecca Settles

Rebecca Parker Settles, 63, of Boyle County, passed away June 24, 2018 at UK Hospital. She was born June 11, 1955 in Boyle County to the late Forrest and Gladys Brackett Parker. Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Settles.

She was a faithful member of the First Church of God. She was an employee of American Greetings for 44 years. she loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed motorcycle and hot rod trips and loved the friends she made from so many places.

Surviving is a sister, Carol Devine (Billy) of Danville; a niece, Amy Gammon (Coby) of Nicholasville; a nephew, Robbie Tharp (Nicole)  of Harrodsburg; great-nephews, Jake Gammon and Tyrin Richardson; great nieces, Isabella Gammon, Lyric Houston-Tharp and Ry'Ann Tharp; her loving companion, Eddie Layton of Danville, his son, Jesse Layton (Jennifer) of Danville and grandchildren: Jeslynn, Jeran, and Jensen Layton. 

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Wayne Parker. 

Funeral services 7PM Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Cummins officiating. Visitation 5-7PM Thursday. 

Pallbearers are Bill Morgan, Jr., Dale Huber, Lida Hollas, Bryan Russell, Mark Burris, Barb Chenault, Matt Gaffney, Glenn Sorrell, Jason Stevens, Kendra Weddle, and Krystal Russell.

Memorial contributions preferred to Kidney Foundation and American Cancer Society.
