Roberta "Bert" Davis Obituary

Roberta "Bert" L. Stines Davis, 80, of Danville, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Ephraim McDowell Hospital. She was born July 10, 1938 in Ferguson, Kentucky to the late Parker and Lela Hill Stines. Bert is survived by her loving husband, James Alan Davis.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God faith. She loved the Lord and her family was her life. Bert loved cooking, traveling, and loved gospel music.

Also surviving are two sons, Darrell Cross (Janet) of Ohio and Alan Davis (Kimberly) of Parksville; two daughters, Sandy Wright of Frankfort and Jo Anne Smith (Jason) of Moreland; one brother, Joe Stines (Linda) of Danville; one sister, Sarah Hall of Danville; sixteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, David Stines; a grandson, Joshua Cross, and her in-laws, Jim and Emma Davis. Funeral services 1PM Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Orcutt officiating. Visitation will be from 10AM-1PM, Tuesday. Burial in Bellevue Cemetery. Pallbearers are Cameron Miller, Jason Smith, Levi Smith, Caleb Smith, Alan Hall, and Jeff Peak.
