Shirley Honaker

Shirley Jean Plummer Honaker, 69, of Mitchellsburg, passed away December 13, 2018 at UK Hospital. She was born in Danville, Kentucky on November 6, 1949 to the late Donald and Judy Plummer. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Ned Honaker. Shirley was a homemaker for many years and retired from EKU after numerous years. She loved being apart of the Boyle County Homemaker's Club and the KY Knitwits. Her family was her everything and she dearly loved her two cats, BoBo and Tinker.

Surviving are two children, Jonathan Todd Honaker (Chrissy) of Junction City and Wendy Grace Honaker Vanoy (Frank) of Stanford; grandchildren: Emily and Sara Vanoy, Logan, Kyndall, and Macey Honaker; three sisters, Patty Franklin (Shakey) of Danville, Donna Kay Kendall (Darrell) of Moreland, and Becky Ruhe (Mike) of McKinney; numerous nieces and nephews, and a very special best friend of many years, Belinda "Sam" Holman.

Funeral services 11AM Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Parksville Baptist Church with Bro. Phillip Coffman officiating. Burial in Parksville Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 17, 2018 from 5-8PM at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Tony Honaker, Terry Honaker, Josh Ruhe, Jacob Ruhe, Kyle Vaught, Larry Burchett, Kelly Burchett and Timmy Stratton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Parksville Baptist Church Building Fund.
