Anita Preston

Anita Preston, 86, of Danville, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024 at her home. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles H. Preston. Anita was born on June 13, 1938 in Boyle County, KY to the late John Erbin and Geneva Mae Johnson Sargent. She worked at Danville City Schools and retired from Ephraim McDowell Health after many years. 

Surviving are two sons, Eugene Preston (Kathy) of Danville and Mike Preston (Jill) of Danville; two daughters, Georgia York of Danville and Rita Vickrey of Lebanon, KY.

Along with her husband, Anita is preceded in death by a son, Steven Preston. 

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers are Chance Preston, Lewis Vickrey, Chris Vickrey, Andrew York, Marvin Preston, Slade Crutchfield, and Wayne Franklin.
