Betty Jane Elder Obituary

Betty Jane Elder, 75, of Boyle County, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025. She was born on January 30, 1950 in Boyle County to the late Hubert Lee and Naomi Frances Elder.


Betty loved her family, working in her flowers and watching the races.


Betty is survived by her children, Michael Henson (Vicki) and Janet Riley (Chad); sister, Carolyn Sue Elder; two grandchildren, Brittany (Chris) Archer and Hunter Vandivier and one step-granddaughter, Haileigh Riley; three great-grandsons, Kaiden, Kamryn, and Kraven Murphy; and four step-grandchildren, Tristan Murphy, Elizabeth Archer, Kaizer and Emmrie Day.


Honoring Betty’s wishes, there will be no public services held. Family and Friends are invited to a gathering to honor Betty at 1pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at her daughters home. 


Pallbearers will be Dewayne Taylor, Henry Clarkson, Chad Riley, Kaiden Murphy, Kamryn Murphy and Chris Archer.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution are preferred to Heritage Hospice and American Cancer Society.
