Bobby Wooldridge

Robert Edward Lee “Bobby” Wooldridge, 87, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025 at UK Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born on January 18, 1938 in Hustonville to the late Jess and Mattie Ellis Wooldridge. Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Betty Kurtz Wooldridge.

Bobby was a lifelong farmer and an avid reader of Louis L’Amour and Max Brand westerns.

In addition to his wife, Bobby is survived by a son, Steve Wooldridge (Penny) of Danville; two daughters, Debbie Shelton (Kelly) of North Carolina and Kathy Wooldridge of Danville; four grandchildren, Kim Calhoun, Tristen Adams, Kevin Shelton and Cali McKnight; seven great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren.

Bobby was preceded in death by four brothers, Roy Lee, Donald, Ronald, and Johnny Wooldridge; and four sisters, Loraine Wooldridge, Josephine Stinson, Emmalene Merriman, and Betty Jean Herald.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, November, 26, 2025 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor Kenny Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11am-12:30pm on Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Shelton, Devon Calhoun, Benton McKnight, Kelly Shelton, Johnny Wooldridge, and Jason Wooldridge.
