Carroll Hilbert Cox

Carroll Hilbert Cox, 78, of North Carolina, formerly of Danville, passed away July 9, 2025. She is preceded in death by her husband, Delma Cox. She was born on July 7, 1947 in New Jersey to the late Henry and Virginia Hilbert Cook. Carroll was preceded in death by her husband, Delma Cox. 

She was an entrepreneur, being an X-Ray Technician for over 30 years, a real estate agent in Danville and North Carolina, and owned a daycare in Danville for many years. 

Surviving are two sons, Robert Lee Cox (Janet) and Garey Christison, both of North Carolina; a daughter, Rita Cornett of Danville; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kathy Reynolds of Parksville. 

Preceding her in death is her husband, parents and brothers, Charles A. Hilbert, William D. Hilbert, Dennis Cook, and Jimmy Cook. 

Funeral services will be 12 Noon Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery at 1:30pm. Visitation will be from 10am until service time on Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Todd Cornett, Eric Cornett, Noah Cornett, Robert Cox, Garey Christison, and Jason Griffith.
