Catherine “Gail” Gorley

Catherine “Gail” Gorley, 51, of Danville, passed away July 2, 2023 at Rockcastle Regional Medical Center. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on March 1, 1972 to the late Shelby W. Hopkins and Molly England Smith of London. Catherine is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Gorley. 

Gail was a title abstractor for Court Street USA and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University. She was a faithful member of Perryville Baptist Church. Gail was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Those that knew her were blessed by her love and kindness. 

Surviving are children; Gregory Allen Stevens (Erica) of Manchester, Ky, Jacob Wayne “Petey” Stevens (Melissa) of Manchester, Ky, Austin Gorley of Danville and Aaron Thomas Gorley of Danville; brothers, Adam Campbell (Deanna) of London and James Hopkins (Kathy) of North Carolina; sisters, Barbara Roark (Leonard) of Danville, Becky Lawson (Jimmy) of Lexington and Jamie Fultz (Raymond) of Manchester; and grandchildren, Nick Revis, Tony Stevens, DJ Stevens, Alex Stevens, Jaxon Stevens, Ben Stevens and Abbi Stevens. 

She is preceded in death by her father and a brother, Joseph Hopkins. 

Funeral services will be 1pm Friday, July 7, 2023 at Perryville Baptist Church 204 E. 2nd Street Perryville, Ky 40468 with Rev. Aaron Hackworth officiating. Burial will follow in Elder Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the church. 

Pallbearers will be Adam Campbell, Jacob “Petey” Stevens, Greg Stevens, Austin Gorley, Aaron Gorley, DJ Stevens, Jamie Reynolds, and Alex Lear. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Zane Reynolds, Charles Coffey, Jr., Zack Campbell, Nick Revis, Tony “Hippie” Hughes and Troy Gammon.
