Obituary
Mary "Catherine" Shoulty, 99, of Danville, passed away March 16, 2023 at her home. She was born February 14, 1924 in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Henry and Oma Mae Newberry Little. Catherine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert L. Shoulty.
Catherine was a homemaker and spent several years in banking. She was a faithful member of First Christian Church. She also enjoyed being a part of the Garden Club and the Ephraim McDowell Hospital Auxiliary.
Surviving is a step-daughter, Susan Jane Mengel of Naperville, IL; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, five nephews and three nieces.
Along with her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a step-daughter, Ann Baker; a sister, Edna Allen; and brothers, Ralph, Cecil and Sam Little.
Funeral services will be held 11:30am Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:30am-until service time. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Wroth, Derek Baker and Kristen Wroth.
Memorial contributions are preferred to First Christian Church.
