Charles Allen Perkins, 69, of Lincoln County, passed away October 6, 2023 in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on December 20, 1953 in Danville to the late Ed and Judy Perkins.
Charles served his country in the Marines. He was a welder and learned his trade in welding school in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He took pride in his work and even worked on 3 Mile Island in Pennsylvania. Charles was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved to and enjoyed looking for arrowheads. He was a traveler and loved listening to music, particularly rock and roll, and attended many concerts. Above all, he was a lovable guy who deeply loved his family.
Charles is survived by three daughters, Tammie Gail Doelker of North Carolina, Heather Ashley of Louisville, and Jessica Perkins (Shay) of Alabama; a brother, Michael Perkins (Tracy) of Stanford; ten grandchildren, Abi Doelker, Dylan Doelker, Jasmine Ashley, Isaiah Ashley, Lily Perkins, Avery Perkins, Evan Argrett, Phoenix Argrett, Charleigh Argrett and Ryon Argrett; four nieces and nephews, Jason Hampton, Erica Hampton, Lucas Perkins and David Perkins.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lisha Hampton.
A private family service will be held in Charles’ honor at Springhill Cemetery.
