Claude Snodgrass, 86, of Danville, passed away February 18, 2022 at Danville Center for Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on May 22, 1935 in Crab Orchard, Kentucky to the late Robert and Elizabeth Snodgrass. Claude is survived by his loving wife, Lucille Snodgrass.
He was a US Army veteran and a member of Crab Orchard Baptist Church. He worked at Whirlpool and Mashuista for many years and after retiring, went to work at First Federal Savings Bank.
In addition to his wife, Claude is survived by a daughter, Rita Doty of Lexington; two brothers, Walton Snodgrass (Lena) of Lexington and Butch Snodgrass (Ivy) of Nicholasville; three sisters, Bessie Helm (Bradley) of Crab Orchard, Clara Slaughter of Danville and Sabrina Burnside (Wesley) of Danville; two grandsons, William Doty II and Justin Doty; and five great-grandchildren, Jalin Doty, Jeremiah Doty, Aumiyah Boyd, William Doty IV, and Isaiah Doty.
He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, James Snodgrass, Morris Snodgrass, Charles Ray Snodgrass, and Gill Snodgrass ; and two sisters Brenda Snodgrass and Ann Snodgrass.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30pm on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Smith officiating. Burial to follow at Camp Nelson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pm-7pm on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home, 331 South 4th Street in Danville.
Pallbearers will be Justin Doty, Douglas Doty, James Meadows, Brad Helm, Michael Faulkner, Troy Warner, and Kenny Slaughter.
