Cleveland Lavaughn "LT" Thomas, 66, of Danville, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Ephraim McDowell Hospital. He was born on September 24, 1957 in Ripley, Mississippi to the late Daniel L. and Bonnie Shelby Thomas. LT is survived by his loving wife, Sandy.
LT enjoyed spending time with family watching the Bengals, Reds, and Wildcats. LT retired from Frisch's as an area supervisor after 42 years, he was currently working for Kroger in Danville. He graduated from the University of Kentucky.
LT is also survived by a son, Kyle Lavaughn Thomas of Carrollton, Kentucky; two daughters, Tara Brooke Luster (Billy) of Liberty and Jessica Lynn Sapp (Matthew) of Danville; brother Charlie Thomas (Sue) of Danville; Seven grandchildren; Laken Shepperson, Brooklyn Farmer, Finn Luster, Tyler Sapp, Austin Sapp, Cloie Luster and Landon Luster; five great grandchildren, Carter Linton, Cora Linton, Liam Shepperson, Jace Shepperson and Silas Shepperson.
Funeral service will be 11:00AM on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Brother Kenneth Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00PM on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Sapp, Billy Luster, Cody Shepperson and Kyle Thomas, Landon Luster, David Farmer and Jerry Farmer.
Honorary pallbearers are his grandsons.
