Donald Tackett

Donald Howard Tackett, 61, of Danville, passed away at his home on January 1, 2022. Don was born on March 20, 1960, in Beech Grove, Indiana to Howard Tackett and Roberta Gadberry. He was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Baugh. He is survived by his loving wife, Melanie McCoy Tackett.

Don worked at various jobs throughout the years, and was known as a handyman who could fix just about anything. He was a talented musician who loved writing, playing and recording his music.

In addition to his parents and wife, Don is survived by two daughters, Emily Shepard of Tennessee and Fancy Tackett of Indiana, one son, David Tackett (Krystal) of Indiana, and  grandchildren: Sarah Guice, Dasia Tackett, David Roll, Jonathan Roll, Joseph Roll, James Roll, Olivia Tackett, Hunter Lee Tackett;, Aaliyah Danforth and Ricky Burcham; brothers Tommy Gadberry (Tammy), Jerry Gadberry (Brandi) and Howard Tackett Jr.; sisters Sally Tackett, Connie Tapp and Cathy Robertson, and several nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held at a later date.
