Edward L. Neal, 78, of Danville, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024 in Danville. He was born in Wayne County, Kentucky to the late Sherman and Vaine Copes Neal. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Frances King Neal.
Ed retired from Quebecor World in Lebanon, Ohio after 41 years. He loved to watch westerns and going to yard sales. Ed was a friend to all and loved to laugh and joke.
Surviving is brothers, Ray and Larry Neal, sisters, Jane (Amos) Schwartz and Linda (Steve) Conrad; aunt Ruby Koger; several nieces and nephews, a very special little girl that brought him so much joy and happiness that he loved dearly, Lilah Raye Cornett; special nieces, Rindy Rogers, Katie Crowe, Millie Cornett, and Gracie Cornett; special nephews, Danny Begley and Jimmy Begley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Arthur, Everett, Thomas, Cecil, and William Neal; a sister, Flora Hancock; and special nephews, Billy Neal and Bobby Neal.
Funeral services will be 11am Friday, September 13, 2024 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Rev. JR Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Danny Begley, Steve Conrad, Johnny Murphy, Jimmy Begley, Dustin Cornett, and Mark King.
