Ella Mae McDowell

Ella Mae Anderson McDowell, 68, of Danville, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at her home. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Phillip McDowell. Ella was born on October 31, 1950 to the late Edward "Buck" and Ella Frances Criswell Anderson. 

Ella was a member of the First Baptist Church in Danville.

Ella is survived by two daughters; Jennifer Bell (Antonio) of Lexington, Edwina Wilkinson (Ambers) of Danville; five grandchildren; Sheyenne McDowell, Christian McDowell, Trinity McDowell, Mikayla Bell and Antonio Bell II; one great grandchild, Aubree Allen; seven siblings, Linda Pigg, Eva Wheeler, Woodrow Anderson, Buddy Anderson, Darlene Barnett, Naomi Whited and James Anderson.

Along with her loving husband, Phillip, Ella was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa McDowell; two siblings, Clara Moran and Edward Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Dr. Tim Mathis officiating. Burial will be at Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, September 16, 2019 from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
