Emma “Connie” Reese Musser, 99, of Boyle County, passed away September 4th, 2025 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 29, 1925 in Milesburg, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Esther Reese. Connie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl C. Musser.
Emma “Connie” lived in her home of 50 years until she was 99. In December 2024 she joined the Morning Pointe family until August 2025 when she had a stroke and was at the Willows for several weeks. Whether Miss Emma was in a facility or at the hospital, her caregivers loved her. She was authentic and smiled with a cute little smirk of self-confidence and when she wasn’t happy, she let you know it. She was sweet as could be, people couldn’t help but love her, and she always had nice things to say about others. She was an expert Bridge player, and it kept her mind sharp until the end. She will be missed by many and we know she’s at peace with the Lord. Emma was a faithful member of The Presbyterian Church of Danville.
Surviving is a son, Alan C. Musser, Sr. (Charlotte) of Tallahassee, Florida; two daughters, Janice D. Roemmick (Rick) of Vail, Arizona and Amy Buckley of Danville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Craig Musser of Georgia and Sarah J. Roemmick of California; and great-grandchildren, Curren Musser, Owen Musser, and Chrisara Young.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Lester Reese and Earl Reese, and a sister, Dorothy Reese Hunter.
She will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Mills Cemetery in Pennsylvania.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to Danville-Boyle County Humane Society at 778 N Bypass, Danville, KY 40422 or The Presbyterian Church of Danville at 500 W Main St, Danville, KY 40422.
