Erica Nicole Sluder

Erica Nicole Sluder, 44, of Danville, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026, at her home. She was born in Danville, Kentucky, on November 15, 1981, to Mike and Jenny Lankford Sluder.

Erica was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church and worked as a Human Resources regional Manager for Goodwill. She is known to be a very hard worker and such a bright light to be around. Knowing her as a person and a mother, her whole world was her two daughters. Her love to travel, read, explore foods, attend concerts, beach, craft, and spend quality time with family and friends were who she was. She had such an impact on so many lives. No amount of words can explain how much everyone will miss her.

Along with her parents, Erica is survived by two daughters, Lauren Strong and Olivia Strong, both of Danville and her loving companion, Michael Gatton of Perryville.

Erica was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Zora and Virginia Sluder and maternal grandparents, James and Edna Lankford.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with CSM JP Long officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Derek Enlow, Micah Enlow, Caleb Enlow, Aaron Jenkins, Jamie Walls, Jonah Robbins, Marshall Hayden, Steve Shantz, Ethan Woodall, James Surber, and Greg Foley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sarah Moberly, Mary Beth Bonta, and Lee Ann Smith.

Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home is entrusted with her arrangements.
