Gary Rogers Obituary

Gary Michael (Mike) Rogers, 67, of Danville, passed away January 31, 2020 at Baptist Hospital in Lexington. He was born on April 7, 1952 in Danville, Kentucky to Jessie and Helen Montgomery Rogers. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Diane Franklin Rogers. 

Gary worked for ATR Wire & Cable for over 29 years; loved to play cards, yard sale, fish, and watch UK basketball.  

Also surviving is a son, Brian Rogers (Jamie) of Georgetown; daughter in law, Samantha Rogers of Lexington; step-mother, Darlene Rogers of Harrodsburg; grandchildren, Avery, Rylie and Baylee Rogers; special niece, Gypsy Franklin of Lexington, and step brother, Vincent Coulter (Dee) of Harrodsburg. 

Mike is preceded in death by a son, Chad Rogers and a step sister, Carla Baker. 

Funeral services 1PM Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Gary Baker officiating. Burial in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Monday, February 3, 2020 from 5-8PM at the funeral home. 

Pallbearers will be Adam Hayes, Jeff Scott, Brandon Franklin, Butch Wine, Chris Franklin and Ray Ross.

Honorary pallbearers will be Conley Peters, David Taylor, Alton Bottoms, and Ken Bourne.
