Geraldine Marie Jackson

Evangelist Geraldine Marie Jackson, 67, was born on August 26, 1955 in St. Louis City, Missouri to the late Elder Charles M. Morris, Sr. and surviving mother Evangelist Mary L. Tandy (Owens). Geraldine departed from this life on November 19, 2022. She is preceded by her loving husband of 26 years, James Jackson Sr.

Evangelist Geraldine accepted Christ at an early age and was a longtime member of Prayer Wheel COGIC, Royal Lakes, IL, but attended Vision Church Of Holiness in Danville the past 4 years. She was a good leader because she followed God. Through prayer and study she sought to teach those around her to serve God with all their heart, soul and mind.

Evangelist Geraldine lived a full and vibrant life. She was a product of a family with strong Christian roots; raised with the teaching of God's redemption. She was educated at Lewis and Clark Community College. She was a business owner, entrepreneur, worked for Heritage Manor in Carlinville, IL for 15 years. She was highly thought of by her clients, customers, co-workers and patients. She will be truly missed by many who knew her. She loved being a business owner, volunteer, wearing hats, and had a heart of gold.

Evangelist Geraldine, above all, had many long years of Christian commitment, her love for her church, and she has left a rich legacy which will be long remembered and cherished by her family who she loved and was adored by them. Surviving her is her children, daughter, Kimberly M. Latimer (Jerome) of Clinton, Maryland; sons, Darryl D. Tandy (Jessica) of Royal Lakes, Illinois, Isaiah D. Tandy (Shawnee) of Danville, Kentucky, Jerry D. Tandy (Abigail) Tandy of Louisville, Kentucky, Marty Johnson of St. Loius, MO and step-daughter, Lakisha Jackson Wesseling (Christopher) of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Caleb Tandy, Elijah Goesmann (Misty), Savannah Caruthers, Jeremiah Tandy (Constance), Chase Tandy, Malaysia Latimer, Noah Mozee, Desiree Tandy, Darney Tandy, Jayden Tandy, Jasmine Tandy, Drake Tandy, Aria Tandy, Lincoln Wesseling; great grandchildren, Luna-Rose Goesmann.

Evangelist Geraldine has seven brothers, Freddie, Isaiah, Rex, Isaiah, Charles Jr., Shawn, and Charles III; nine sisters, Elaine, Yolonda, Condrea, Deborah, Erica, Karen, Nakesha, Tonya, Anita; very special family member, Evangelist Eva Gooch, Dorothy Napier, Sue Berry, Rhoda Anderson, Rhonda Musgrave, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.

Evangelist Geraldine is preceded in death by her mother in law, Julia Jackson; brothers, Freddie, Isaiah, Charles, Jr.; sisters, Elaine, Yolonda, Deborah, Erica, and grandson, Desmond Tandy.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 12:00 PM until service time.
