Gloria “Jean” Cochren, 82, of Danville, departed this life on January 30, 2026 at Maplewood Health and Rehab in Lancaster.
She was preceded in death by her parents, DeTroy and Margaret Cochren, her brother, Roy Sylvester Cochren, and her husband, John Gooch.
Gloria confessed her faith in Christ at Little Zion Baptist Church in Burgin, Kentucky under Reverend MM Johnson and Reverend Phillip A. Yates.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted niece, Deborah Johnson of Danville, Kentucky who provided everything she needed during her life; her cousin, Barry Bowman of Danville, Kentucky made sure she was doing well at all times; a brother in law, James Scott, Sr. of Danville, Kentucky helped anyway possible; extended family members in northern New York State and a good friend and sister in law, Billie Scott of Danville, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be 1pm Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Bowman officiating. Visitation will be from 11am until service time on Saturday. Burial will follow in Robinson Cemetery in Burgin, Kentucky.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Brothers, Mark Dunn, Sid Dunn, Kevin Jones, John Taylor and Alvis White.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Gayton, Greg Bowman, James Dunn, Kevin Mckitric and Alvin Lee White.
