Helen Routt Clarkson, 87, of Danville, passed away Friday, June 25, 2021 at Landmark of Danville.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William T. Clarkson. Helen was born on January 29, 1934 in Boyle County, KY to the late Fred and Emma Lowery Routt. 

Surviving is a son, William Clarkson Jr. (Ladda) of Oklahoma; a daughter, Brenda Hudson of Danville; a grandchild, Susan Wren(Shane); two great- grandchildren, Lakin Oliver (Jacob) and Lindsey Wren; and a great-great grandchild, Lylah Oliver; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren; and a special friend, Garnett "JR" Peavler.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Routt, and two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Turner and Shirley Anderson.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Lester officiating. 

Visitation will be 11:00 AM until service time.

Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers are June Peavler, Shane Wren, Henry Clarkson, Billy Curtsinger, Junior Worthington, and David Anderson.
