Herta Blanton

Herta Blanton, 86, of Danville, passed away November 30, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was born September 3, 1934 in Ulm, Germany to the late Wilhelm and Else Börder. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Arthur Duane Blanton.

She adored her family, her dogs, Ali and Foxy, loved cooking for her family and the outdoors. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Sonja Baker (Larry) of Stanford and Linda Yeater (Jeff) of Stanford; three grandchildren, Christina Miller, Matthew D. Baker and Duane Baker; and four great-grandchildren, Samantha Miller, Bryce, Zachary, and Mason Baker. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Billy Delaney and a brother, William Börder.

Private family services will be Monday, December 7, 2020 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
