Hilary Brand

Hilary Brand, 65, went to be with the Lord on May 30, 2025 in Danville, Kentucky. She had battled cancer since November 2021. Her prayer was that she would reflect Paul's words to the Philippians, "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain." She was grateful to God for the many gracious friends and family who encouraged and helped her throughout her treatments and other aspects of her health journey. 

Born January 22, 1960 in Alexandria, Virginia. Hilary was the daughter of Ronald and Evelyn Brand. She worked for various federal government agencies for 30 years in the Washington, DC area. She also spent 8 years living and working in Colombia, South America. After retiring in 2022, she moved to Danville, where she enjoyed meeting new friends at Grace Presbyterian Church and Bible Study Fellowship, as well as the pickleball community group. She was thankful to the Lord for the good quality of life she was able to enjoy in spite of her cancer.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn. She is survived by her father, Ronald Brand, her brother, Christopher Brand and her sister, Sabrina Brehm.

A graveside service will be held at 11am Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Bellevue Cemetery with Pastor Shane Terrell officiating.
