Isabel Casey Johnson, 95, of Danville, passed away in Louisville on January 5, 2024. She was born in Boyle County to the late Thomas Lee and Mary Beth Westerfield Casey. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Samuel Johnson and Albert Allen Johnson.
Isabel graduated from Forkland High School and retired from Palm Beach in Danville. She was an expert seamstress, avid reader, and pie maker. Isabel loved to travel and enjoyed life to the fullest.
Isabel is survived by two sons, Thomas Samuel Johnson (Cheryl) and William Ray Johnson (Kelma), both of Danville; granddaughter, Claudette Davis (Skates) of Louisville; great-grandchildren, Miller, Jones, and Masyn Davis; a sister, Wanda Montgomery of Danville; four step-children and a host of step-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sister, Thelma Girtley; and grandson, Hunter Johnson.
A visitation will be held from 12pm-1:30pm on January 9, 2024 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Bellevue Cemetery at 2:30pm.
In memory of Isabel, memorial contributions are preferred to the Boyle County Public Library.
