Jack W. Carey Sr.

Jack W. Carey Sr. 87, of Danville, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Landmark of Lancaster. He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Jo Carey.

Jack was born on October 21, 1936 in Danville, KY to the late Wilmer R. and Nancy Oaks Carey.

Jack was a member of United Methodist Church in Perryville, KY for many years. He was a avid Kentucky Basketball fan; He was a talented Artist, who taught painting at McDowell Place for many years; Jack was a also a member of the Masons.

Also surviving is a son, Jack Carey Jr. of Danville; two daughters, Lesa G. Carey of Berea, KY and Donna K. Carey of Danville, KY; two brothers, Robert Carey (Joyce) of Atlanta, GA and Richard Carey (Lynn) of Florence, KY.

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Lester officiating.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery.
