James Bourne

James Bourne, 74, of Mercer County, passed away Saturday August 7, 2021 at his home.He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Frances Harness Bourne of Harrodsburg. James was born on August 30, 1946 in Boyle County, KY to the late Gowen and Elizabeth Jones Bourne.

James had a passion for University of Kentucky sports, especially basketball. He enjoyed living and being on the lake with his family most of all. 

Also surviving is a son, James Matthew Bourne(Ruth) of Danville; two daughters, Elizabeth Caudill (Paul) of Danville and Anne Eastwood (Mark) of Lexington; fourteen grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a son in law, Larry Caudill.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be James Matthew Bourne, Eric Eastwood, James Eastwood, Dalton Caudill, Collin Davis, Mark Eastwood, and Paul Dishon.

Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Danville, Kentucky. 

Memorial contributions are preferred to Heritage Hospice.
