Jean Ann Cress, 90, of Iroquois Rd., passed away on September 16th at the Willows in Harrodsburg, KY. She was born on May 20, 1930 in Danville to Herbert C. and Myrtle Johnson Cress. She was the youngest child of eight children. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Herbert C. Cress, Jr., William Robert Cress, Alex J. "Ike" Cress, James Ralph Cress, Austin Lee "Pete" Cress, Margaret Alouise Cress and Sara Cress Baughman. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a cousin, Charles Lewis Goff of Hawesville, KY.
She graduated from Danville High School in the Class of 1948 and was a lifelong member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. She worked for many years for Production Credit Association which became Ag Credit. She enjoyed playing cards and was very adept at solving crossword puzzles. She had a sharp and sometime sarcastic wit. Even though she had no children of her own she loved and mothered her nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be at 11am Friday, September 25, 2020 at Bellevue Cemetery.
