Jean Holman, 90, of Parksville, passed away June 3, 2022 at her home. She was born in Boyle County on December 13, 1931 to the late Samuel and Eddie Melinda Vermillion Baker. Jean is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William "Bill" Holman.
She was a lifetime member of Mitchellsburg United Methodist Church, where she loved doing work for the church. Jean enjoyed sewing, quilting, loved growing her flowers, was a excellent cook and just enjoyed visiting with friends.
Jean is survived by a son, Terry Holman; two daughters Belinda Holman and Carolyn Quinn (Jerry) both of Parksville; a grandson, Christopher Quinn (Robin); a great-granddaughter, Victoria JoAnn Quinn; and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Baker and Tommy Baker; and four sisters, Madge Cloyd, Lucille Phillips, Mary Hayes Hurst and Ruby Rose Dean.
Funeral services will be held at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 2pm with Pastors Doug Thacker and Dean Carpenter officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Tom Baker, Jimmy Baker, Mike Gilpin, Dean Holman, Ronnie Lee and Ernie Carmicle.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ted Baker, Sam Baker and Richie Baker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to go to Mitchellsburg United Methodist Church.
