Jeanie Whitlock

Jeanie Whitlock, 82, of Danville, passed away Monday August 12, 2024 at her home. She was born on February 14, 1942 in London, KY to the late Robert J. Wall and Azalee Reams Wall. 

She worked at Peebles-Watsons for over 13 years and the Westinghouse in Richmond, KY for many years.

Jeanie was a member of Alum Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving is her loving husband of 43 years, Charles Whitlock; three daughters, Johnna Gail Estes Newby (Brad) of Versailles, KY, Edith Stafford (Tim) of North Carolina and Adela Brown of North Carolina; eight grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. 

Along with her parents, Jeanie was preceded in death by two daughters, Peggy Whitlock and Karen McCollom.

Jeanie was a faithful and dedicated companion to her husband Charlie for 43 years. She was a wonderful wife and mom. Jeanie was a homemaker and loved making her home beautiful. She was loved and cherished by her family. 

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Perkins officiating. 

Visitation will be 10:00 am until service time.

Burial will be in Flatwood's Cemetery in Waco, KY

Pallbearers are Jesse Whitaker, Todd Haydon, Bryan Haydon, Terry Edwards, Butch Nevius, and Chuck Beagle.

Preston Pruitt Spurlin in charge of arrangements.
