John Messer

John Messer, 58, of Stanford, passed away September 28, 2025 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was born in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa on June 14, 1967 to the late John David and Linda Cosgrove Messer. 

John worked in logistics in the beverage industry for many years. He was a hard worker and gave his all with everything that he did. John was a wonderful provider and loved his children and grandchildren dearly.

Surviving are his children, Rachel Messer (Kirt) of Island, Kentucky, Samantha Messer of Clearwater, Florida and Jeremiah David Messer of Stanford, Kentucky; two brothers, Aaron Messer (Alice) of Jackson, Mississippi and Chris Messer (Heidi) of Birmingham, Alabama; grandchildren, Lexi Dixon of Richmond, Kentucky, Ben Dixon of Island, Kentucky, Raylan Johnson of Eros, Louisiana and one on the way; an uncle, Chuck Cosgrove (Vicki) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and several nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be from 4pm-6pm on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home.
