Joyce A. Strevels

Joyce Strevels, 89, of Danville, passed away May 5, 2023 in Stanford, Kentucky. She was born on March 17,1934 in Forkland to the late Earl and Nora Ellis Hafley.  Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Lucien "Bud" Strevels.

Joyce graduated from Forkland School and retired from American Greetings as a supervisor. She was an avid UK Basketball fan and loved going to church at Sycamore Church of Christ in Gravel Switch. 

Surviving are two sons, John G. Strevels of Danville and Mark Strevels of Clay City; a daughter, Vicki L. Adkins of Danville; grandchildren, Heather Garrett, Josh Adkins, Dana Strevels and Jason Strevels and twelve great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 4pm Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Evangelist Morris Hafley officiating. Burial will follow in Elder Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4pm on Wednesday. 

Pallbearers will be Josh Adkins, Bruce Robbins, Bryan Kirk, Dana Strevels, Heather Garrett, and Brian Garrett.

Honorary pallbearer is Bill Releford.
