Julia Jeanette Holly

Julia Jeanette Nevius Holly, 101, of Junction City, passed away September 8, 2023 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was born in Parksville on October 9, 1921 to the late James and Susie Brown Nevius. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, William Leonard Holly. 

She and her husband owned and operated Holly’s Restaurant for many years. Jeanette loved her family and adored her granddaughters. 

Surviving are two sons, Greg Holly (Lisa) of Berea, Kentucky and Gary Holly of Junction City; granddaughters, Jenny Holly (Paul Cooke) of Lexington, Jessica Holly (Marshal Litton) of Lexington, and Julia Holly of Berea and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and all her siblings, Phoebe Mohnsen, Patricia Engedal, Louise Robinson, Margaret Carter, Anabel Culton, Darrell Nevius, Ollie Mae Bandy, Ben Nevius, Jim Nevius, Hubert Nevius, and John Nevius. 

A private family service will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
