Klaus Peterson Obituary

Klaus Peterson, 90, of Danville, passed away Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Medical Center in Danville. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Peterson. Klaus was born on September 8, 1931in Des Moines, Iowa  to the late Vincent and Grace Lund Peterson. 


Klaus retired as a Lieutenant from the US Navy after 22 years of service and then worked for John Deere as a mechanic. He was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church.


Along with his wife, Klaus is survived by three sons, Kenneth Peterson of Iowa, David Peterson (Celeste) of Liberty and Timothy Peterson of California; Nine grandchildren, Joshua Peterson, Laura Emily Peterson, Benjamin Joseph Peterson, Anne Marie Kendziora, Melinda Eva-Rose Shultz, Pricilla Eve Peterson, Lauren Peterson, Heather Peterson and Noel Peterson and ten great grandchildren.


Funeral service will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Todd Nibert officiating.


Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.


Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. A second visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday at the church.
 


Pallbearers will be Joshua Peterson, Kenneth Peterson, David Peterson, Collin Kendziora, Chris Brown, Timothy Peterson.
