Lillie Longworth

Lillie Gertrude Longworth, 90, of Boyle County passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023 at the Willow of Harrodsburg. She was born on August 14, 1932 to the late Omer and Christine Casey.

Throughout her life Gertie worked for F.W. Woolworth Co., Palm Beach and Coldwell Banker V.I.P. Realty Inc. She was a member of Junction City United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for 23 years and was the Sunday School Superintendent.

Gertie is survived by a niece, Michelle Casey Sisk (Alan) of Lexington; a nephew, David Casey (Sheri) of Springfield, Ohio; a brother Omer S. Casey (Bettye) of Harrodsburg ; 3 great nieces and nephews; a special friend, Nina Kirkland; and her nurses and friends at the Willows of Harrodsburg.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Longworth; and two sisters, Barbara Jean Casey and Sara Mae Casey.

Funeral Services will be at 1 PM on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor Jea Suh officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville. Visitation will be from 11 AM until service time.

Pallbearers will be Alan Sisk, Matthew Sisk and Josh Bose.
