Luann Lyons

Luann Lyons, of Danville, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. She was born on October 24, 1958 in Mercer County, KY to the late Lee and Mildred Freeman Lyons.

Luann was a lover of all things unique and found beauty in the obscurities of life. She enjoyed making crafts, and was well known for her distinctive renditions of trees that became a staple of the Farmers Market. She loved the beach, live music, spending time with her family, and the Kentucky Wildcats. Most of all, her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Luann lived every day to the fullest and loved others without reservation. Throughout her life, Luann impacted those around her in a way that is rare to find and was a great privilege to experience.

Luann was a believer and had proclaimed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Surviving is a daughter, Shana Vest (Jody) of Danville; three sisters, Dixie Mobley of Harrodsburg, Janice Watts of Harrodsburg, and Penny Osbourn (Joseph) of Danville; granddaughters, Morgan and Macee Vest of Danville; her beloved dog, Isabella; a special friend, Petie Clark of Danville; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Luann was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Lyons.

A public memorial service will be held Saturday, May 13th at Indian Hills Christian Church.  You may pay your respects to the family beginning at Noon, with service to follow at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Heritage Hospice or Danville-Boyle County Humane Society are encouraged.
