Marvin Carpenter, 89, passed away December 23, 2020 at his home. He was the son of the late Alpha R. and Lottie Manning Carpenter. Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Anna Lester Carpenter.
Marvin retired from IBM after 26 years. He was a member of the Church of God of Abrahamic Faith in Perryville, Kentucky, where he pastored for over 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Anna; two sons, Edward Carpenter (Donna) of Danville and Jeffrey Scott Carpenter (Sharon) of Florida, a daughter, Marlene Horton (Eddie) of North Carolina, a sister, Linda Yocum of Danville, a brother, George Carpenter of Danville, grandchildren, Crystal Abdalla, Melissa Titman, Melody Moore, Lesley Johnson, Jeremy Carpenter and Joey Carpenter and eleven great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held.
Memorial contributions are preferred to Heritage Hospice.
