Obituary
Mary Ellen Preston, 81, of Danville, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was born on in Mercer County on June 26, 1941 to the late Elza Devine and Jessie Pittman Devine. Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dewey L. Preston.
Mary was a faithful member of Bluegrass Pike Baptist Church. She was a good christian lady who loved her church and was a perfect example of a wonderful lady.
Mary is survived by a brother, Ralph Eugene Devine of Burgin; a sister, Violet Mae Carey (James Lewis) of Burgin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was also preceded in death by two sons, Dewey Lee Preston, Jr. and Timothy Lee Preston; a daughter, Mary Lee Preston; two brothers, Bobby Lewis Devine and Donald Billy Devine; two sisters, Eulla Hazel Baker and Mammie Louise Carey.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday January 20, 2023 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Brother Travis Alltop officiating.
Visitation will be 4:00 - 5:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
