Mary Ray Obituary

Mary M. Ray, 88, of Danville, passed away October 10, 2018 at The Willows in Harrodsburg. She was born on May 16, 1930 in Casey County to the late John and Hattie Land Morgeson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenmore Ray. 

Mary retired from IBM and was a faithful member for over 50 years of Gethsemane Baptist Church. 

Surviving is a nephew, Michael Osborne (Jennifer) of Dayton, Kentucky, a niece, Margaret Hundley (Bill) of Boyle County, Kentucky, three great nieces, Jamie Trent (Walter), Melissa Dailey, and Katie Osborne; two great nephews, Daniel Osborne (Courtney) and Chris Hundley (Trish); great-great nieces, Elizabeth Thompson, Shelby Benge, Adley Rae Ellis, and Laura Hundley; great-great nephews, Clay Benge, Grant Osborne, and Jacob Hundley; and a great-great-great nephew, Zander Benge. 

Funeral services 12PM Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Danville with Michael Osborne and Kevin Hampton officiating. Visitation will be from 10AM-12PM. Burial in Lancaster Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Bill Hundley, Walter Trent, Larry Connor, Daniel Osborne, Clay Benge, and Spencer Young.

Honorary pallbearers are her Sunday School Class at Gethsemane Baptist Church, Mossie Marshall, JoAnn Terrell, Betty Terrell, and Lila Rae True.

Memorial contributions can be made to Gethsemane Baptist Church or Heritage Hospice.
