Michael Jamison

Michael Jamison, 53, passed away April 2, 2024, after a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. He is now rejoicing in Heaven.
He was born to parents Kenneth and Barbara Grigsby at Camp LeJeune, NC on July 21, 1970.

He was a devoted and loving father to his son, Shawn, and a joy to his parents.

He enjoyed working at Hitachi, Harrodsburg where he was loved by his coworkers. He was a former houseparent at the Kentucky School for the Deaf.  Michael touched many lives and had a lasting impact on those who knew him.

He loved people, his dogs, fishing, camping, and taking trips to Myrtle Beach, as well as spending time with family and friends. Michael also loved Jesus and his church. 

He was a member of Clays Mill Baptist Church in Nicholasville, KY

He leaves behind a son, Shawn, his parents, and three brothers, David Grigsby of California, Philip Grigsby of Lexington, KY, Andrew Grigsby of Nicholasville, KY,  a nephew, Marcus Grigsby, and sister in law, Janetta Grigsby (Andrew) of Nicholasville, KY, along with countless friends he made throughout his life. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 7, from 5:00-8:00, at Preston-Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home in Danville. 

Funeral services will be Monday, April 8, at 11:00 at Clays Mill Baptist Church located at 1220 Brannon Road in Nicholasville, KY with Bro. Jeff Harris officiating.  

An additional visitation will be 10:00 am until service time on Monday April 8, 2024 at Clays Mill Road Baptist Church in Nicholasville, KY.

Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery in Danville, KY.

Pallbearers will be Todd Batsche, Derek Drury, Wilton McMillan, David Grigsby, Philip Grigsby and Andrew Grigsby.
